DEWI VROMEN: I bought a bag of Vestiaire Collective

I have an account on Vestiaire Collective for a year now. Vestiaire Collectiveis a kind of Ebay for desinger items. If you have purchased an item, the seller will receive a shipping label and it will go to Vestiaire Collective first. They check the item for authenticity, they also check whether the condition of the item is as described by the seller. For example, I bought the Louis Vuitton Monogram scarf at Vestiaire Collective some time ago. The seller stated in the ad that it was new, during the inspection of Vestiaire Collective it appeared that it had several damages. I was informed about this by email with photos of the damages. The question was also asked whether I was still interested in the scarf. I decided not to be interested anymore and got my full purchase amount back. If the item is as described, Vestiaire Collective will send it to the buyer.

Saturday 23 September I was scrolling through the Vestiaire Collective app. Soon my eyes fell on the beautiful Chloé Drew in the color Cement Pink, I decided to buy the bag. For about a year and a half I have been in love with the Chloé Drew, the reason why I have not bought the bag before is because I was afraid that this would be an "it bag" or as some say a "blogger bag." In addition, the bag has a price tag of € 1290,- ($1850 USD), I always think carefully about these kinds of purchases. I have the rule for myself that I must have designer items on my wish list for at least 1 year, given the price tag, but also to prevent me from making impulse purchases.

Last Thursday I received an email from DPD that my bag had been delivered to the collection point, I immediately stopped what I was doing and quickly picked up my package. Once at home, I opened the package immediately.

Sinds een jaar heb ik een account op Vestiaire Collective. Vestiaire Collective is een soort marktplaats voor designer items. Als je een item hebt gekocht, ontvangt de verkoper een verzendlabel en gaat het eerst naar Vestiaire Collective. Zij controleren het item op echtheid, tevens wordt er gecheckt of de conditie van het item is zoals de verkoper heeft omschreven. Zo heb ik tijdje terug de Louis Vuitton Monogram sjaal gekocht op Vestiaire Collective. De verkoper had in de advertentie staan dat deze nieuw was, bij de controle van Vestiaire Collective bleek dat deze meerdere beschadigen had. Ik werd hierover geïnformeerd per mail met foto's van de beschadigingen. Tevens werd de vraag gesteld of ik nog interesse had.. Ik besloot geen interesse meer te hebben in de sjaal en kreeg mijn volledig aankoopbedrag terug. Indien het item wel is zoals beschreven, stuurt Vestiaire Collective het naar de koper.

Zaterdag 23 september was ik aan het scrollen door de app van Vestiaire Collective. Al snel vielen mijn ogen op de prachtige Chloé Drew in de kleur Cement Pink, ik besloot de tas te kopen. Sinds ongeveer anderhalf jaar ben ik verliefd op de Chloé Drew, de reden waarom ik de tas nog niet eerder heb gekocht is vanwege het feit dat ik bang was dat dit een "it-tas" zou zijn of zoals sommige zeggen een "blogger-tas." Daarnaast heeft de tas een prijskaartje van €1290,- over dit soort aankopen denk ik altijd goed na. Ik heb voor mezelf de regel dat ik designer items minimaal 1 jaar op mijn verlanglijstje moeten staan, gezien het prijskaartje maar ook om te voorkomen dat ik een impuls aankopen doe.

Afgelopen donderdag ontving ik een mailtje van DPD, dat mijn tas afgeleverd was bij het afhaalpunt, ik stopte direct waar ik mee bezig was en haalde snel mijn pakketje op. Eenmaal thuis maakte ik het pakketje direct open.
